Welcome to my homepage!
I am a Principal Researcher in the Currency Department at the Bank of Canada. I joined the Bank in July 2022 as a Senior Economist after previously holding positions as Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Mannheim and Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Leicester. All opinions expressed on this website and in my research papers are my own and should not be attributed to the Bank.
My research interests lie in the fields of Industrial Organization and Finance. The focus of my work at the Bank of Canada is on the evolution of the multi-sided market for payments, with an emphasis on the use of cash and the impact of a potential central bank digital currency (CBDC). I also maintain an active interest in platform markets focusing on the strategic implications of information provision to and information transmission between market participants.
